Christian Hesselaa appointed new CEO of Bekey

Christian Hesselaa has been appointed new CEO of Bekey effective from 15 November 2022. A member of the North Media Group, Bekey develops, delivers and maintains digital access systems that give approved users fast and easy access to locked stairwells in multi-storey residential properties and one-family homes.

“We’re very pleased to have Christian take over the reins at Bekey to take the company to the next level and create a solid foundation for the business, driving further growth in the Danish market and abroad,” says Lasse Ingemann Brodt, CEO of North Media A/S.

Christian brings strategy and management experience from the management consulting industry, including with Kearney, the international consultants, and 3shape, the fast-paced growth company. He holds a Master’s Degree in Finance and Strategic Management from CBS in Copenhagen.

“I look forward to applying my experience in strategy and management from Denmark and abroad and to working with the team and the rest of the Group to take Bekey on the next steps of its evolution and growth journey over the coming years,” says Christian Hesselaa.

Bekey is Denmark’s leading provider of secure, digital access solutions, which are currently used by 31 Danish and 44 Norwegian municipalities, as well as by newspaper and leaflet distributors and meal kit delivery services in Denmark. Bekey has installed some 60,000 digital lock units in Denmark and Norway, facilitating the authorised opening of doors 14.4 million times annually. The company had revenue of DKK 24 million in 2021 and is headquartered in the Copenhagen suburb of Søborg.
