Seven future winners: North Media has climbed almost 200% in three years – but is there more to come?

Shares in North media have performed well, gaining more than 194% over the past three years.

80% of revenue comes from distributing leaflets and printed matter – an area where volumes have fallen. But in Aarhus there is growth in the online business North Media Online, which has undergone a turnaround. A double-digit loss has been turned into a profit which is expected to double this year.

Børsen Play has teamed up with former ABG equity chief Tue Østergaard to find seven future winners – businesses where Østergaard sees particular potential. In this, the sixth of seven articles, we look at North Media’s online business North Media Online.

“Many might assume that printed media are in decline, but they’re making good money and still have a place,” Tue Østergaard says. “This is something many people don’t realise.”

North Media Online is behind job board Ofir.dk and property site Boligportal.dk, which make up the bulk of its business.

“We’ll be a much bigger part of North Media in three years, I’m certain of it,” says North Media Online’s CEO Henrik Løvig.
